Paintings

While I enjoy making art in many different mediums, I gravitate towards acrylic paints, canvas and sometimes with the addition of pen, acrylic paint markers, and permanent marker. With my more intuitive creations I start with an abstract background and allow the project to unfold piece by piece from blank canvas to finished work. I allow the shapes and movement from the abstract background to be a guide for the rest of the artwork. In some cases, I may start the work with an element of two in mind, but prioritize creating space for possibility, surprises, and my intuition.
